A few years ago, I discovered this method, which significantly reduced my stress, increased my energy and lowering my sick days. It allowed me to know myself on a deeper level. So many insights of limiting beliefs about myself that I thought to be true. After my first breathwork session my stressful state of mind was dramatically shifted into a calm yet energized and blissful state.
For over ten years, I have been working as a high-performing Real Estate agent, and prior to that, I played basketball professionally in Europe. Throughout this journey I have gained some insights about performance and the stress it can bring to life - when approached with an adverse mindset.
Living a life focused on performance, from the moment I wake up until I go to sleep, in everything. Suppressing my emotions provided short term benefits and made it easy to escape into performing in the fields I mastered. I poured everything into that pursuit, and it became my route to "success" in society.
Feeling stressed while preparing for a presentation? Struggling with the fear of failure? Overwhelmed by constant responsibilities or the uncertainties of the future?
Feeling stress in the moment, for most of us can’t be tackled by dumping tasks on someone else or just taking the next flight to Bali. Instead, we can harness the power of our breath to regulate stress like nothing else. This incredible ability lies within us all. Specific breathing can regulate our biochemistry so the rational part of the brain (often feeding negative spiraling thoughts) quiets down and deeper layers of the brain awaken, bringing forth clarity.
You might think I’m exaggerating the healing and energizing effects of the Wim Hof Method, but the science backs it up. However, don’t just take my word for it - experience it for yourself. True understanding comes through feeling.
In our time together, we’ll explore the three pillars: GRADUAL COLD EXPOSURE / BREATHWORK / MINDSET. This is no "tough macho man"-method; it’s about acceptance and growth mindset, allowing you to uncover your true inner strengths.
I invite you to step out of your comfort zone. Although it’s a beautiful place, not much grows there. Sometimes, reaching your best requires navigating through challenges. I’m excited to share these timeless, somewhat forgotten practices with you and to hear your reasons, your WHY, so we can explore how this method can benefit you.
