Instructor Level
My name is Anna and I'm a level 2 Wim Hof Method Certified Instructor based in Iceland. I'm part of the international team of instructors that assists Wim on his Expeditions in Poland and Spain and I've also been part of the Wim Hof Method Academy to train the new instructors.
"My experience in this Summer Expedition in Spain was incredible. Anna truly enhanced my experience and I very much look forward to many more with her as my guide.
Anna is not only knowledgeable & kind, but she’s a wonderful human being that exudes wisdom & love. She has a unique way of explaining things with such ease & patience.
At one of our intense breathing sessions she saw I needed help to come out of it, so she instinctively came to me and sat for a while using the exact words I needed.
She is authentically empathetic and I’ll always be grateful to her for this week." - Stephanie De Latour
My vision
I believe there are many reasons to give the Wim Hof Method a try. From enhancing your sport performance to dealing with depression. My view is that the method is the perfect tool for self development, for learning how to self regulate your nervous system in stressful situations ánd to add adventure to your life. This method is all about reconnecting to yourself, others and nature, which creates a more compassionate and sustainable relationship with ourselves, others and mother nature. When we recognize we are part of nature and when we recognize the beauty of nature within ourselves, we acknowledge that we are all connected to eachother.
During my teachings I focus on how you can create a safe environment within yourself so you can go deep and can get in touch with your emotions, with that part of you that wants to shine or with that part of you that you have been hiding. And yes, you can also just have an awesome and adventurous time, but let's be honest, we all carry stuff from our past in our backpacks.
My story
My story with breathwork and ice baths is one of love and hate. I experienced my first panic attack when walking through an icecold river. I quickly realized the cold is strong force. It acted as a mirror, showing me my fears, patterns and even the way I was showing up in my relationships. I always respected the cold as a teacher, my mindset was one of willingnes to learn. Over the years I learned how to regulate my nervous system in triggering situations. Which still helps me to this day. When I get triggered, I visualize myself in an icebath, taking soft breaths. I dove into other (self development) practices such as plant medicine, tantra, martial arts, meditation, psycho-somatics and Buddhism. The Wim Hof Method opened a door to a more interesting, fullfilling, adventurous and authentic way of living for me and my loved ones.
Next to the Wim Hof Method I also work as an Iceland specialist (my dad is from Iceland), I oroganize workshops and weekends in Belgium and retreats in Iceland.
If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to get in touch with me at the bottom of the page.
Lots of love and breath slowly
