Born and nurtured by the crisp waters of Lake Couchiching and Georgian Bay in Ontario, my bond with nature and cold water has been lifelong.
While my university studies in Zoology instilled a scientific lens to view the world, the loss of my beloved father at age 21 led me to seek solace in Nature's embrace.
This journey began with holistic nutrition and gradually evolved into growing food and embracing yoga and meditation. However, it was the Wim Hof Method that truly resonated with my spirit.
Though I grappled with consistency in my practices—often tempted to lean on external comforts like alcohol, cannabis, or Netflix binge-watching—it was the Wim Hof Method, especially the daily breathwork, that anchored me. This daily ritual not only transformed my mindset, one of the 3 pillars of the method, but also unveiled the power of our body's "inner pharmacy" to me.
In no time, I felt reinvigorated, deriving a natural high from my very essence—sober yet ecstatic, driven by an internal elixir that kept me happy, healthy, and strong.
I co-founded the Couchiching Community Cold Dippers, fostering a community that shares in the joys and benefits of cold dipping. I am eager to share this profound knowledge and wisdom with you.
