Hi, I’m Joe, a Wim Hof Method Instructor, and a former soldier of the British Army who has stepped over to the light side. After years of battling PTSD and a possible TBI after a traumatic incident on tour in Afghanistan, I was pushed out of military service and found myself lost in a world from which I had been alienated. My coping mechanisms were simple yet destructive: avoid all of the problems I was facing by overworking or turning to alcohol - a practice instilled in us as young men of service. Eventually I found myself at breaking point.
Through the introduction of yoga, breathwork and meditation I began to discover ways of exploring the world both around and within me. This path ultimately led me to the power of the cold. The Wim Hof Method has helped me change my life and find purpose again. It gives me structure, allows me to explore healthy practices and to cultivate kindness and resilience in the face of life’s challenges.
I am passionate about sharing this life-changing method with others, not only for the powerful practices you can learn and take away with you, but also for the sense of community and connection it brings with it too. When we take our lives into our own hands and experience ways in which we can instantly feel good and feel powerful, it radiates from within us and has a profound impact on those around us. Together, we can make a very real and important difference in the world.
