Leo Ryan is a Human Performance Coach and Breathing Specialist.
He has studied athletic training, health and breathing since he healed himself of asthma in 2004 with the Buteyko Breathing Method. After graduating with a MSc from University College Dublin, he continued to educate himself prolifically throughout his professional career in Ireland and internationally. He has attained multiple diplomas and certificates from many elite personal training, physical therapy and breathing schools including Dip. Buteyko Method, Wim Hof Instructor, Oxygen Advantage Master Instructor, Fascial Stretch Therapist, Strength and Conditioning Specialist and Pilates teacher.
Leo’s love and experience for health and physical performance has seen him research more than 50 breathing techniques, mentor with coaches to Olympians, UFC Fighters and World Champions. He undertook several internships with the world renowned Dr. Eric Serrano. He was understudy to one of the Western World's foremost teachers on the Buteyko Method, Patrick McKeown and he became one of the first Oxygen Advantage Master Instructors. In 2019, he became a Wim Hof Method Instructor after 5 years of research and experience into the method.
Up to 2019 Leo has spent a lot of his time coaching one-to-one in a personal training environment and testing his training methodology on himself. Leo was a snior club GAA footballer. He is a black belt in judo and he has ran marathons with no specific training, he gained more than 52 lbs of muscle and he even climbed a mountain with nothing but a pair of shorts and boots. His clients have healed cardiovascular disease, asthma and anxiety. They’ve reduced symptoms of depression and panic attacks.
