Matthias Wittfoth ist Neurowissenschaftler, Musiker und Atemexperte, und außerdem Doktor der Psychologie.
Seit 20 Jahren forscht er auf unterschiedlichen Gebieten wie Musik, Sprache, Kognitive Kontrolle, Emotionsregulation und Körperpsychotherapien.
Seine Forschungsstationen waren das Max-Planck-Institute für kognitive Neurowissenschaften in Leipzig, das Neuropsychologische Institut in Bremen und die Medizinische Hochschule Hannover. Spezielle Ausbildungen in Bildgebenden Verfahren hat er u.a. am Martinos Center der Harvard Medical School in Boston, USA absolviert.
Er ist einer der Top-Instruktoren der Wim Hof Methode und wird in Wims neuen Buch erwähnt.

Matthias Wittfoth is a neuroscientist, musician and breathing expert, and also a doctor of psychology. For 20 years he has been researching different areas such as music, language, cognitive control, emotion regulation and body-based psychotherapy. During his career he was at the Max Planck Institute for Cognitive Neuroscience in Leipzig, the Neuropsychological Institute in Bremen and the Hannover Medical School. He has completed specialized training in neuroimaging at the Martinos Center of the Harvard Medical School in Boston, USA, among others. He is one of the top instructors of the Wim Hof Method and is mentioned in Wim's new book. Matthias is the host of the highly recommended German podcast “Der Atemcode”, which focuses on breathing and breathing experts. In his workshops you can expect to find the relationships between breathing, cold and mindset explained in a very well-founded and understandable way. He is a charismatic instructor who has meanwhile brought the Wim Hof Method to more than 5000 participants.
