Since 1978 I work as a dentist in a private clinic and since 2006 also in University setting. In private life I fill my spare time since high school age with endurance sports. From competitive marathon running and triathlon in the past to roadcycling and speedskating the last 20 years.
Over the years I realized that repairing teeth and helping people to recapture oral health is only part of the puzzle and that there are more steps to take towards general health and well-being. So over the last two decades I started studying health related lifestyle issues like nutrition and sleep. Ackowledging it's profound effects on inflammation and contribution to the epidemic of Western Chronic Diseases. More recently I added meditation, breathing and coldexposure to this, based on the Wim Hof phylosophy and techniques. For example; there are many interactions between facial growth and the likelyhood to develop a healthy breathing function. Suboptimal growth of the jaws can have negative effects on oral and general health through the development of unhealthy breathing patterns.
So l would very much like to offer workshop participants some understanding of how applying WHM techniques can have beneficial effects. And give them the practical experience. To quote Wim Hof; "Feeling is understanding"
How nice would it be when you, by applying Wim Hof techniques, will experience improvements in stress compliance, better sleep, better sports performance. An overall increased general feeling of well-being. I will offer my participants a tailored workshop experience based on individual needs and wishes, witihin the framework of the Wim Hof Method.
Following a workshop can just be a nice experience, or it might be the start of a process of change.
Besides these group sessions I also offer personal training.
