My path to the WHM did not follow a straight path...
Since I was a little boy, I was taught to push my limits and make the most out of myself. As a young man, I competed in Canoe and Kayak flatwater racing on international level. After a car accident in my early 20’s I focused on my education and substituted the physical challenges with intellectual ones – until, eventually I graduated mathematics from Cambridge University. After graduation, my eagerness found place in the professional life, working my way up in one of Europeans best consulting company for risk management. I was always pushing further, not letting go of things I wanted to achieve and always moving upwards. However, the results did not come for free and the price I had to pay started to manifest itself in health issues.

Summer 2017 was just about to end, and I remembered the previous winter where I had to go through several antibiotic treatments which seemed not to help at all. To be honest, I was scared of the cold. I pictured the upcoming struggle and desperately wanted change.

A friend of mine told me about the Wim Hof Method and that it claims to help not to become sick again. This sounded promising: I would confront one of my fears and as a result not become sick again! I gave it a try.

After a few weeks, I realized first changes in my perception towards cold and, towards ‘becoming’ sick: I just did not become sick! That was a game changer for me! Three months later, I ended up being in Poland at Wim’s winter expedition and for the first time, I felt in peace with the cold and in control over myself.

Since then, I integrate the Wim Hof Method into my life. The WHM taught me to understand my limits and not keep pushing them mindless but rather use my energy wisely and at will. I became my own healer, gained back control – especially in stressful periods, and got closer to myself than I ever felt before.

Becoming a WHM instructor gives me the chance to pass this powerful knowledge to other people, improve their quality of life and connect! Become happy - healthy - and strong. And create a world we love to live in!
