はじめまして、レンス・ヴェルステゲンです。私はオランダ出身で、Wim Hof Method（WHM）の認定インストラクター（レベル2）です。2005年に日本に移住し、これまでに2,000人以上の方々に、呼吸法、冷水浴、そして集中力を組み合わせたトランスフォーメーションワークショップを通じて、心身の可能性を引き出すサポートをしてきました。
私がWHMを始めたきっかけ
燃え尽き症候群で心身ともに疲れ果てていた時にWim Hof Methodに出会い、初めての氷水浴を体験しました。その瞬間、冷水がまるで負の感情を洗い流してくれるように感じ、心が澄み渡り、生きる力が湧き上がってきたのを覚えています。この経験は私にとって人生を変えるものでした。それ以来、私はWHMを学び、教えることで多くの方々とこの素晴らしいメソッドを共有しています。
また、日本には禊や滝行といった冷水を用いた伝統的な修行法があります。これらの日本文化に深く共鳴し、それらをWHMに融合させることで、東西の知恵を取り入れたユニークな体験を提供しています。
私のワークショップの特徴
私のワークショップは単なる身体的なトレーニングではなく、個人の変容を目指しています。快適ゾーンを超えた先にある深い意識と強さを発見し、人生をより豊かにするお手伝いをしています。

なぜインストラクターになったのか

これからのビジョン
私はすでに上級トレーニングや自然をテーマにしたイベント、雪山ハイキングを開催していますが、今後はコミュニティをさらに重視したワークショップやイベントを増やしていきたいと考えています。日常生活に役立つ実践と、人生をより豊かにするつながりを提供していきたいと思います。

Hi, I’m Rens Verstegen, a Level 2 Certified Wim Hof Method Instructor originally from the Netherlands, the birthplace of the Wim Hof Method. Since moving to Japan in 2005, I’ve had the privilege of guiding over 2,000 people through transformative workshops that blend the power of breathwork, cold exposure, and mental focus. My mission is to help others reconnect with their true selves and live fully alive.
My Journey
I first discovered the Wim Hof Method during a period of profound personal struggle. Burnout had taken its toll on my body and mind, leaving me drained and disconnected. Then, I experienced my first ice bath. It was as if the cold washed away the weight I was carrying, clearing my mind and reawakening my sense of purpose. That moment was life-changing, and I’ve been hooked ever since.
Living in Japan, I’ve found a deep connection between the Wim Hof Method and traditional Japanese practices like misogi (ritual purification) and takigyo (waterfall meditation). These practices emphasize mindfulness, resilience, and a connection to nature—principles that align beautifully with the WHM. I’ve made it my goal to integrate these elements into my workshops, creating experiences that honor both traditions.
My Approach
My workshops are about more than just the physical benefits of the Wim Hof Method. They are about personal transformation—going beyond your comfort zone to uncover deeper layers of strength, clarity, and purpose.
As a trained breathwork guide, I design sessions that are truly transformational. Many participants describe having mystical or transpersonal experiences, reaching levels of awareness they never thought possible. My approach is grounded in creating a safe and supportive space. I combine a gentle, nurturing energy with encouraging challenges, helping you feel empowered as you step into the ice bath or face your limits.
I want everyone who joins my workshops to leave feeling truly alive, connected to their deeper purpose, and equipped with practices they can integrate into their daily lives.
