An advocate for barefooting and adapting in nature, she has been living a barefoot lifestyle for 14 years. She has walked the Camino 29 times for distances from 100 kms to 1200 kms. She is a respectd Camino coach and guide and the author of My Camino which is in development as a feature film.
She created a Barefoot Sue profile on TikTok and taught people how to barefoot in the forest, snow, ice, earth, and in cold water, her goal was to help them deal with anxiety from isolation and some of the repercussions of the pandemic. Sue went viral in a barefoot video that reached 9.6 M views.
In December 2017 Sue was coached by Wim Hof and his Instructors for 5 days at the Poland Expedition. There were only 6 women and 54 men. The training culminated in a mountain climb up Mount Snezka in Poland. After 2 1/2 hours in shorts and a tank top, the group reached the summit at 1600 meters in minus 20C weather. She experienced and learned how to face extreme conditions by accessing the inner fire in her body. As a result of this practice, she was able to release an unconscious traumatic event that changed her life.
Her dream is to share this method with more people, especially women, who have the desire to reconnect with a natural way to manage the health of their body, mind, and soul, and to impact the aging process.
By teaching the Wim Hof Method in nature, with a focus on the foundation of barefooting, Sue inspires people to practice outdoors as much as possilbe.
Through this method, she became physically stronger, her memory improved immensely, she faced her fear of entering freezing cold water, the inflammation in her body virtually disappeared, she lost weight, she can now work through bouts of depression, and she has increased energy and focus.
She offers WHM Fundamentals and Advanced workshops, weekends, and coaching. She has taught worldwide in Toronto, Singapore, Portugal, Spain, Montreal, Muskoka, Tulum, Ottawa, and various places in Ontario.
