I’ve worked as an Osteopath for over 10 years, helping people to find and live healthier lives. In today’s hyper-connected and fast paced world, I and many of my patients find, it is so easy to get lost and lose a handle on our physical and mental health. I’ve always sought out ways to help support patients beyond my clinic room and the Wim Hof Method presented a science backed method that could do just that.
When I first heard Wim on a podcast I immediately knew I needed to find out more. Over the last eighteen months, I have not only learnt about the method and the science but have also learnt new ways to connect with myself again in the process, finding a sense of calm and clarity with the breath and the cold that I had not even realised I had lost.
What began as a journey to be able to serve others has served me in ways I couldn’t have imagined. As a health professional it is far too easy to help others but then find you have no space to do the inner work required to maintain your pace and delivery of your profession. The Wim Hof Method has given me clear concise tactics that force me out of my comfort zone, taking me back to my primal state to the way nature intended.
The benefits and simplicity of WHM make it an excellent tool to teach patients, helping them to stay away from dependence on our clinic rooms and instead turn to us whenever they need to reset their body. For me the Wim Hof Method (WHM) is a great tool for prevention over cure and I love teaching it.
