There are a ton of ways to do a cold plunge unsafely, or ineffectively. When you have someone guiding you, you get to be fully and completely in the zone. When you have someone supporting you, and making sure you're safe, you're not paying attention to your ego, or your friends who are trying to psych you up or cheer you on.
