As said, headaches have various causes and, therefore, different remedies. Some common types of headaches include:
Tension headache
Tension headaches are sometimes referred to as ordinary headaches, muscle tension headaches, or stress headaches. With this type of headache, you experience a pressing or tightening sensation, as if a band is pulled tightly around your head. Because tension headache is a collective form, the exact cause is not immediately traceable. However, factors like stress, coffee, alcohol, poor sleep, incorrect posture, or colds often play a role. Although this headache may make you feel suboptimal, it is possible to continue your daily activities.
Migraine
Unlike tension headaches, the attacks caused by migraines prevent you from functioning normally. The throbbing pain in the head associated with migraines can last several days. Individuals who experience migraines have a higher sensitivity to specific factors. Exposure to these factors can trigger a migraine attack.
Sinus headache
Sinus headaches occur when the sinus passages behind your eyes, nose, cheeks, or forehead become blocked, typically due to a common cold or allergies. They often manifest as dull aches in the forehead and around the nose and eyes.
Exertional headache
An exertional headache arises during or within a few hours after physical activity and typically subsides within 24 hours. The headache is not confined to one side of the head and is often described as throbbing. Factors contributing to this headache include dehydration and inadequate food intake.
