Since long I have been fascinated by the capabilities of our minds and bodies. As a student, over 25 years ago, I got interested in meditation and breathing. After finishing a management degree I switched my career path. I followed a course on clinical psycho-neuro-immunology (cPNI) and decided I had to go in deep to gain more knowledge. I studied Medicine, did a PhD on amputation in people with a pain syndrome and became a medical specialist in rehabilitation medicine (is called a Physiatrist in the USA). I have always loved my job intensely and strive for the best solutions for my patients.
However, striving for the best for others has its downsides. I forgot to take care of myself for a long period of time. Until I met Wim for the first time in 2017 in Stroe. It was when my head hit the ice for the first time that my mind went calm and my body relaxed. Since then you can find me in lakes and in the sea during winter time and telling the people I meet about the WHM: Sharing all the love, all the power!
My interest in the method made me read and follow all the scientific work that has been done so far. It made me realise that I found my tribe amongst other "Hoffers" and that there was a next step to be taken. Finally, in March 2023 I finished my master module and became a certified Wim Hof method instructor. I still work at my local hospital, but now I also offer Fundamental workshops, breathing sessions, lifestylecoaching and -presentations since that is what I love to do (as well).
I wish you a Happy Healthy and Strong body and mind :)
