What can I do to gain more balance in life?
To gain more balance in life, there are a few components that can help you. These are awareness, intent, reflection, and experiencing personal wholeness.
Awareness
Awareness helps you to learn what your body is telling you and how to connect with yourself. You address awareness with the question: How do I feel? With the answer to that question, you become aware of your body’s subtle signals, like a change in your mood and energy level, or restless breathing. These signals are a way of your body telling you how it is doing and what it needs. When you bring these thoughts and feelings to your conscious mind, you become able to change the behavior that has a bad influence on your body and mind.
Intent
Once you know how you feel, it is essential to get to know what you want. If you feel that your mind is not peaceful, this might be challenging. Thinking positively and creating new goals and plans are, without a doubt, beneficial in obtaining a peaceful mind. Once your mind reaches a peaceful state, knowing what you want —your real intention— comes within reach.
Reflection
It is of great value if you can reflect on specific life events and tell yourself how powerfully you handled them. Reflection helps you to better understand the way you interact with your surroundings, while at the same time bringing meaning to certain challenges in life. Finding meaning in life events sometimes can be hard. But, eventually, it supports you in dealing with emotions. As such, reflection is a great tool for becoming a better version of yourself.
Experiencing personal wholeness
Personal wholeness is the feeling of well-being that occurs when your body, mind, and spirit are in harmony and balance. There are several practices to develop that feeling, such as breathing techniques, breathing techniques, yoga exercises, and relaxation exercises. These techniques and exercises encourage you to connect with your thoughts, mind, body, and physical responses in a positive way. The key is to try these exercises and commit yourself to an exercise that works for you.
